YOU NEVER KNOW!

As a retired teacher from Norwalk, and residing in Fairfield, I don’t often run into my former students. But it is a real pleasure and a thrill run into someone who comes up and says: “Ms. Randeria, you may not remember me, but I am XYZ.” The person looks totally different from the one you had as a 12 or 14 year old kid, now with a beard or such. Also the circumstance where you encounter the former student can tell you a lot about how wonderfully mature and thoughtful they have become.

The Healthcare Debate

As a teacher, how many of us have heard the following from a student: “I’m sorry I don’t have my homework because last night we had to take my (fill in the blank) to the emergency room and we didn’t get back till late. WHO AM I? WHAT AM I? PDF  | Print |  E-mail
Wednesday, 09 January 2008
A very interesting thing happened on the way to the end of year 2007 and the beginning of 2008.  I started one of my morning wake up ruminations with Who Am I, What Am I kinds of questions.  Not only did I have that feeling, but a friend said she did too.  What brought that about?  I often wake up with some such thought brought on, I think, by some dreams I may have had that night.
